Tips

FAQs

Do plumber invoices need to include an ABN?

Yes. If you are GST-registered (turnover > $75k) you must include your ABN on every tax invoice. Without an ABN, clients can withhold 47% PAYG. Our template has a dedicated ABN field.

What payment terms should a plumber use?

Residential jobs typically use 7-day terms paid on completion. Commercial and strata jobs commonly use Net 14 or Net 30. The template lets you change the terms field to match your business.

Can I edit the Word version of this template?

Yes. The .docx file opens in Microsoft Word, Google Docs, Apple Pages, and LibreOffice. Every field — business name, ABN, line items, payment terms — is editable.

Does the template include GST?

Yes. The 10% GST line is calculated automatically in the Excel version. In Word and PDF you replace the placeholder with your own GST amount.
