Where Is the Invoice Number on a Bunnings Receipt?

On a Bunnings receipt or tax invoice, the invoice number is printed near the top, usually directly below the store address and ABN. It's commonly labelled "Invoice Number", "Tax Invoice Number", or "TI #" depending on the receipt format and whether it was a counter sale or a PowerPass account purchase.

To find the invoice number:

  • Counter receipts: Look just under the store name and ABN at the top — the number usually starts with a store prefix followed by digits
  • Tax invoices emailed to PowerPass accounts: The invoice number is in the subject line and at the top of the PDF
  • Online orders: Check the "Order summary" or "Order details" page in your Bunnings account — the invoice number is listed there and also in the order confirmation email

If you can't find the number, the transaction number (TXN) printed near the bottom of the receipt can also be used to look up the sale at the customer service desk. For tax purposes, retain Bunnings tax invoices for at least five years if you're claiming them as business expenses.
