Add the fixed fee to the amount you want, then divide by one minus the percentage. To receive $500 on a Cash App Business account: ($500 + $0.15) ÷ 0.974 = $513.50. Cash App's fee on $513.50 is $13.50, leaving exactly $500.
Cash App's own help centre lists 2.6% + $0.15 per payment received from a customer's Cash App account and 3% for Tap to Pay. The flat 2.75% figure is the old rate. On small payments the new structure is slightly more expensive (on $10 it's $0.41 against $0.28), and on larger ones it's cheaper (on $1,000 it's $26.15 against $27.50).
Cash App for Business has payment links, not itemised invoices. For real jobs, send an invoice that lists your $cashtag next to a fee-free option like bank transfer or Zelle, and let the client choose. Start with the Cash App invoice template, read Cash App for business, or compare every app in the payment fee calculator.
2.6% + $0.15 on each payment a customer sends from their Cash App account to your Cash App Business account, and 3% for payments taken with Tap to Pay. The fee is deducted before the money reaches your balance. The flat 2.75% still quoted on many sites is the old rate.
On a Cash App Business account, $2.75 (2.6% of $100 is $2.60, plus $0.15), leaving $97.25. A Tap to Pay payment of $100 costs $3.00. A payment between personal accounts funded by balance, bank or debit card is free.
$26.15 on a Cash App Business account, leaving $973.85. Tap to Pay costs $30.00. If you then move the money with an instant deposit, Cash App charges another 0.5% to 2.5%; standard deposits are free.
Cash App says instant transfers to a linked debit card cost 0.5% to 2.5%, with a minimum fee of $0.25 to $1 and a maximum of $75. The exact fee is shown before you confirm. Standard transfers are free and usually arrive in 1 to 3 business days.
Only when the payment is funded by a credit card, which costs the sender 3%. Sending from a Cash App balance, bank account or debit card is free for the sender.
Give clients a fee-free option on the same invoice, such as bank transfer or Zelle, and keep your $cashtag for clients who prefer it. Taking business payments on a personal account to dodge the fee breaks Cash App's terms and can get the account limited. InvoiceSonic lists every payment method you choose on the invoice and takes no percentage.
You can build it into your price or quote it as a separate line, as long as it is disclosed before the client pays. Use reverse mode above: to receive $500 on a Business account, charge ($500 + $0.15) ÷ 0.974 = $513.50.
