Jobber Alternatives (2026): 5 Options Compared Honestly
Five Jobber alternatives compared on 2026 pricing and features: Housecall Pro, ServiceTitan, ServiceM8, Tradify and InvoiceSonic, with when to stay on Jobber.
Full disclosure: I'm Dyllan, and I make InvoiceSonic, one of the options in this guide. I'll say plainly where another tool is the better choice, because for a lot of businesses it is.
The best Jobber alternatives at a glance
The right Jobber alternative depends on why you are leaving. People usually switch because of per-user cost as the team grows, because they need heavier dispatch, or because they are a solo operator paying for team features they do not use.
- Best for a growing crew: Housecall Pro, with 5 or 8 users included in its middle plans
- Best for large contractors: ServiceTitan, priced per technician on request
- Best if you are priced by job volume, not users: ServiceM8, with unlimited users on paid plans
- Best if you want timesheets per staff member: Tradify
- Best for a solo operator without dispatch: InvoiceSonic (mine)
| Tool | How it charges | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Jobber (for reference) | From US$29/mo billed annually, 1 user; US$29 per extra user | Home-service teams wanting booking and a client hub |
| Housecall Pro | From US$59/mo billed annually; 5 users on Essentials, 8 on Max | Teams that want booking, dispatch and payments together |
| ServiceTitan | Quote on request, per technician | Larger contractors with many technicians |
| ServiceM8 | By jobs per month; free plan for 30 jobs; unlimited users on paid plans (AU pricing from A$29) | Small teams with steady job volume |
| Tradify | Per user per month (US$47 Lite) | Trade teams tracking each person's time |
| InvoiceSonic | Free plan; US$14.99/mo flat | Owner-operators who quote, book and invoice their own work |
Prices and features are from each company's public pricing page, checked on 2–3 October 2026. Plans change, so confirm on their site before you buy.
1. Housecall Pro
Basic US$59/month billed annually (US$79 monthly) for 1 user; Essentials US$149 (US$189) with 5 users; Max US$299 (US$329) with 8 users, then US$35 per extra user. There is a 14-day free trial.
It covers the same ground as Jobber: scheduling, dispatch, online booking, estimates and invoicing. It is worth comparing when your team reaches five or more, because users are bundled rather than added one by one. See our Jobber vs Housecall Pro comparison.
2. ServiceTitan
ServiceTitan does not publish prices; you request a quote, and pricing is per technician. It includes dispatching, call booking and a customer portal. It is built for larger operations and is unlikely to be cheaper than Jobber for a small business.
3. ServiceM8
ServiceM8 charges by the number of jobs you do each month rather than by user. In Australia: Free plan for 30 jobs a month (one user, no staff accounts or dispatch); Starter A$29/month for 50 jobs; Growing A$79 for 150; Premium A$149 for 500; Premium Plus A$349 for 1,500+. Paid plans include unlimited users. If you have several staff but modest job volume, that model can cost less than per-user pricing.
4. Tradify
Tradify charges per user (US$47, US$51 and US$61 a month for Lite, Pro and Plus on its US page). Timesheets and online quote acceptance come with Pro and above. It suits trade teams that track hours per person.
5. InvoiceSonic
InvoiceSonic is the option for someone who does the work themselves. It keeps the enquiry, quote, appointment and invoice on one job, customers accept quotes online, and invoices carry Venmo, Zelle, ACH or a card payment link. InvoiceSonic does not have staff accounts, dispatch, GPS, online booking, timesheets or automatic repeat visits. Jobs is built for owner-operators.
When to stay on Jobber
If you use online booking, the client hub and dispatch every day, Jobber is doing its job. Switching costs time, so only move if price per user or a missing feature is a real problem.
How to decide in two minutes
- Count who needs a login. If only you use it, per-user and dispatch features are cost without benefit. If three or more people need the schedule, team tools earn their price.
- Price it at your real numbers. Per-user, per-job and flat pricing rank differently depending on your headcount and how many jobs you do in a busy month.
- List the features you would use every week. Online booking, a customer portal and timesheets are only worth paying for if customers or staff will use them.
- Use the free trial or free plan on a real job. Quote it, book it and invoice it before you commit.
Frequently asked questions
What is the cheapest Jobber alternative?
For a solo operator, InvoiceSonic has a free plan and a US$14.99/month Pro plan. For teams, ServiceM8's job-volume pricing can undercut per-user tools, depending on how many jobs you run.
Is Housecall Pro better than Jobber?
Not across the board. Housecall Pro includes more users in its middle plans, while Jobber starts cheaper for one person.
Which Jobber alternative has no per-user fees?
ServiceM8 prices by jobs per month with unlimited users on paid plans, and InvoiceSonic charges one flat price.
Does InvoiceSonic replace Jobber for a team?
No. InvoiceSonic has no staff accounts, dispatch or online booking. Teams that need those should stay with a field service tool.
