What a compliant invoice needs in Canada:
You must register for GST/HST if your worldwide taxable revenues exceed $30,000 in any single calendar quarter or over four consecutive calendar quarters. Once registered, you charge GST (5%) or HST (varies by province) and can claim input tax credits.
