A PayID gets you paid instantly through Osko, usually in under a minute — but there's no line item, no due date and nothing for the client to approve or file.
Xero has no PayID invoice field, and MYOB's own community request to add one has sat On Hold for a year. Most templates still only have room for BSB and account number.
Invoice interception is the most common way small businesses lose money on a bill. A PayID shows the payer your registered name before they send, but only if you display it properly.
Australian tax invoices need these fields — our generator adds them automatically.
Can you send an invoice through PayID? Not from inside the app — PayID moves the money, but it can't itemise the job, add tax, or give your client a PDF for their records. The fix takes about a minute:
Add your business name, the client, and what the job cost. The generator itemises it, totals it, and numbers it properly — free, no signup.
Either works — the PDF for clients who file paperwork, the link for clients who live on their phone.
Paste the link or attach the PDF in the PayID chat, or email it. The invoice already shows your PayID details, so the client knows exactly how to pay.
Your client pays the way they always do — and now both of you have a numbered record when tax time comes.
Need Word, Excel, PDF, or Google Sheets? Use our free format templates — or create online and download PDF instantly.
Get paid on the app your clients already use — each free generator adds the invoice and receipt those apps can't.
Setting up to get paid? Compare every option in mobile payment methods for small business, see Venmo, Cash App & Zelle for business, or work out fees with the payment fee calculator.

Yes. Australian Payments Plus, which runs the scheme, says you can add your PayID details to your invoices. ANZ confirms an invoice showing a PayID doesn't need to be validated by the bank, but the logo guidelines do have to be followed.
On first use the word PayID should carry the ® symbol, and the invoice should carry the note that PayID is a registered trademark of NPP Australia Limited. The PayID value itself must be under 255 characters, contain no spaces, and is converted to lowercase when registered. Westpac also suggests wording such as "Pay this invoice from your online banking using this PayID".
Partly. When a customer enters your PayID their banking app shows them the name registered to it before they confirm, so a payer can spot an intercepted or altered invoice. PayID is offered by more than 100 Australian financial institutions, and one PayID links to one account — though you can register several.
