Mileage Reimbursement Calculator

Calculate business mileage using the correct 2026 IRS rate. The mid-year change is handled separately so January–June and July–December travel stay accurate.

2026 mileage reimbursement example

Five hundred eligible business miles driven after July 1, 2026 produce a standard-rate amount of $380.00 (500 × $0.76). The same mileage before July 1 produces $362.50.

How to calculate mileage reimbursement in 2026

January 1–June 30: business miles × $0.725. July 1–December 31: business miles × $0.76. IRS Announcement 2026-11 revised the rate from July 1, so do not apply one blended rate to the entire year.

Record the date, business purpose, origin, destination and miles for every trip. Normal commuting is generally not business mileage.
